How a home visit works
Call or request a visit online and a member of the care team will take a few details about your symptoms. They will match you with an available GP near you and give you an honest arrival time.
Your doctor arrives with the equipment needed for a full examination, takes the time to listen, and agrees a plan with you before they leave.
- Same-day visits available in many areas
- Appointments typically last 30 to 60 minutes
- Private prescriptions issued on the spot
- Referral letters to specialists and scans
Who home visits help most
Home visits suit busy parents with poorly children, older relatives who find travelling difficult, people recovering from surgery and professionals who cannot spare half a day away from work.
They are also popular with visitors staying in hotels and with anyone who simply prefers to be seen somewhere familiar and calm.
What we can and cannot treat
Our GPs handle the same wide range of concerns as a high-street surgery, from infections and rashes to long-term conditions. If you have chest pain, severe breathing difficulty or signs of a stroke, call 999 immediately.
