What a check includes
Each check starts with a conversation about your lifestyle, family history and any worries. The doctor then carries out a physical examination and arranges blood tests that suit your age and risk factors.
- Blood pressure and heart rate
- Cholesterol and blood sugar
- Liver, kidney and thyroid function
- Weight, BMI and waist measurement
Results you can act on
You will receive a written summary of your results and a follow-up call to talk them through. Where something needs attention, your GP will explain your options and arrange onward care if needed.
Checks for teams
Employers can book health checks for whole teams on site, helping staff spot issues early and showing them their wellbeing matters.
Common questions
Do I need to fast before my blood test?
Some tests are more accurate after fasting. We will tell you in advance if this applies to you.
How often should I have a health check?
Most adults benefit from a check every one to two years, or sooner if your doctor recommends it.
